How to Clean a Countertop Reverse Osmosis System Step by Step

Step 1: Drain and discard existing water

Empty the feed-water tank, clean-water carafe, dispensing lines, and other removable vessels as directed by the manual.

Do not save old feed water for the next cycle. Water that has been sitting in the tank may contain concentrated minerals and residue. Continually topping off old water also makes it difficult to keep the tank clean.
