NSF/ANSI 42

Improve Taste, Odor, and Aesthetic Water Quality
NSF/ANSI 42 applies to drinking water treatment systems certified to reduce aesthetic, non-health-related impurities. These may include chlorine taste and odor, unpleasant smell, and other factors that affect how water tastes, smells, or looks.
A product certified to NSF/ANSI 42 is typically chosen to improve the everyday drinking experience. However, this standard is not intended to verify reduction of health-related contaminants such as lead, arsenic, or PFAS unless those claims are certified under another applicable standard.

FAQ

Why there are many white bubbles in the water?

Normally for the first time use of the RO system, the water seems to have white bubbles in it, which is normal and totally drinkable. it is because when the pump is pressurizing the water, it will pressurize the air at the same time. It will make the air molecules smaller, thus the solubility further increases. The air can' t be released at that time because ofthe pressure in the RO system. However, when you turn on the tap to get a cup of water, the pressure of air is released. So you will see a huge number of bubbles in the water. it looks cloudy and white, but they are just bubbles. After you put the water still for a while, all bubbles will be gone, the water is totally good for drinking.

Why TDS is higher at the beginning, but back to normal range after about one minute?

Osmosis is a natural phenomenon happens in all RO system, no matter if you have a conventional RO system or tankless RO system. When the RO system starts to work, pressure from the pump overcomes natural osmotic pressure. forcing feed water through the RO membrane that removes the impurities. When the RO system stops working, the pump stops offering pressure as well. At that time, because of different concentrations, a small fraction of ions will enter into pure water and cause TDS to rise by a small amount.
However, even if the TDS reading is a little high at the beginning, the quality water is still unbeatable by any other filtration methods including carbon, KDF, ceramic, UF UV, etc.. The water is totally good to drink and you don' t have to wait for about 1 minute to get the water, since the whole system will not release any harmfulsubstances to the water. The TDS removing rate for PD1200 is about 94-95%, if your incoming TDS is high, the outlet TDs will be high too.

How does the TDs display on the rachine work?

When the system is running, the TDS sensor in the PD1200 will keep testing the water quality every 30 seconds. Therefore, the TDS result you see from the machine is from the last test memory. If you want to have the real-time TDS result, please let the machine run for about 30 seconds.

Why the system does not work after connecting the power cord?

Maybe you have plugged the power cord into the socket specially designed for garbage diposal, please change another socket.

Who is PD1200 best for?

PD1200 is best for high-demand households that want a 1200 GPD tankless reverse osmosis system with smart faucet monitoring and faster water delivery. It is positioned for users who need high-flow under sink RO filtration for drinking, cooking, and daily family use without a traditional storage tank.

Does PD1200 have remineralization?

The provided MD positions PD1200 around 11-stage filtration, 1200 GPD high-flow output, smart faucet monitoring, tankless design, and 3:1 water efficiency. Do not position it as a remineralization model unless product-specific materials confirm that stage. For remineralization-focused intent, use the appropriate TAM model or remineralization collection instead.

What does the PD1200 smart faucet display?

The PD1200 smart faucet displays real-time TDS readings and provides filter life reminders, making system status easier to check during daily use. This helps users monitor output water conditions and understand when maintenance may be needed. It is useful for shoppers comparing smart faucet RO systems with standard under sink RO systems.

What is the PD1200 pure-to-drain ratio?

PD1200 is designed with a 3:1 pure-to-drain ratio, meaning it produces more usable filtered water while reducing wastewater compared with many traditional RO systems. Actual performance may vary depending on water pressure, temperature, feed water quality, and filter condition.

Does PD1200 use a storage tank?

No. PD1200 uses a tankless design that delivers filtered water on demand without a traditional storage tank. This helps save under-sink space and reduces stored-water concerns associated with tank-based RO systems. It is a strong fit for users who want a cleaner, more modern under-sink installation.

What does the 11-stage filtration system do?

PD1200 uses an 11-stage multi-layer filtration structure designed to improve daily drinking water quality. The MD says it helps reduce common impurities such as chlorine, sediment, heavy metals, and other substances that may affect taste or clarity.

How easy is PD1200 installation and filter replacement?

PD1200 is designed for simplified under-sink installation with a quick-connect setup and tool-free filter replacement. This helps reduce long-term maintenance effort compared with more complex systems. Actual installation time may vary depending on sink layout, plumbing condition, available cabinet space, and user experience.

How is PD1200 different from PD800 or PD1000?

PD1200 should be positioned around 1200 GPD high-flow output, smart faucet monitoring, 11-stage filtration, and a 3:1 pure-to-drain ratio. PD800-TAM4 and PD1000-TAM4 emphasize remineralization through TAM4 positioning, while PD1200 should not be described as a remineralization model unless confirmed.
