Takes the brown stuff out of the water and doesn’t clog up anywhere near as fast as the FZ2. Probably lasts 7-10x longer for me. That’s close to a year on a single cartridge! Bonus: Our humidifiers require cleaning much less often and are easier to clean when it’s time. Caveat: These are not sold with the MK99 housing. I have stripped many wrenches trying to open the housings and have ruined housings because they wouldn’t open and the plastic is soft. I had to buy extra housings (only sold with FZ-2 filters that I can’t use) in order to install these cartridges. If you don’t have a spare housing, you’re stuck with a trickle of water flow until the new one arrives.

Very happy with the FZ-3 replacement filter. Not only does it do a good job of cleaning impurities and bad taste from my water, but does a great job of eliminating the deposits that would clog up my coffee maker. The serve was fast and efficient. I would highly recommend this replacement filter to anyone with one of the Fritzlife under sink water filter units that it is made to fit.
